Team UstaB jersey

Howdy Ya'll! This is the final design that got sent off to the printers.
I should have a pre-flight to post next week.

Easy cleaning gear cassettes

I've always found cleaning a gear cluster a big pain in the ass. Came up with this simple idea....and it really works. Drop the whole dirty thing into a small plastic container, and add 3/8" of degreaser. Put on a tight lid and shake like hell sideways for 5 minutes. Perfectly clean!
No worries!

Mirracycle handlebar mount

I'm from North Jersey, and here ya caint ride witout no mirror, if'n ya wants ta git home.
Not to mention, as a Bacchetta 'bent rider, there aint a whole lot o' mounting options out there.
After a bit o' searching I found that the Mirracycle Mountain mirror is the best built, easiest to find, has replaceable parts....and dosent mount anywhere but on the bar ends. So...Calhoun Cycle makes a bar mount version, but where's the fun in that?
Here's what ya do:
Get a Mirracycle Mountain mirror.

Cut off the wedge end flush with the arm. Sand smooth.
You will hafta ream out the cut end to fit the T-nut.
A 15/64" drill works nicely.

Get a 10-32 T-nut, a 10-32 stainless hex head screw, a 1" washer, and a stainless screw clamp (7/8"-1 1/4" size).Also a scrap old innertube or similar.
You flatten the prongs on the T-nut. Drill or grind out a hole for the T-nut in the ring clamp.Dont cut past the existing "threads" in the clamp.I found cutting out 3 "threads" was the perfect size.
You want a pretty tight fit.

If you are drilling make sure the clamp is FLAT and secured. I used a Dremel hi- speed cutter...painless.

I painted the clamp assemby flat black, ta match my Rans bars (bringing da brothers back together, one bike at a time!)
Assemble this wonderfully built mirror according to their directions. Cut a 1" rubber washer from the innertube.
Attach mirror assembly, metal washer, rubber washer, and clamp assembly with 10-32 screw.
Wrap the bars with a scrap of innertube and tighten clamp. Adust mirror according to directions.

So...how much and how long? Isnt that a bit personal? Oh! the mirror!

Time was less than 10 minutes, inlcuding looking for a Dremel bit.
Great project for ADHD riders!
